Feasibility of Market Opportunities Study now online - January 30th 2014

Upon the completion of the Feasibility of Market Opportunities study, and based on the findings of the study, and other factors,South Peace Grain is moving ahead with a business plan for the rail access portion of the study. The business plan will detail all steps necessary to Install a rail siding and begin shipping and marketing grain on behalf of our members. Requests For Proposal have been sent out to secure a partner with the expertise required to develope a comprehensive business plan. The bulk of the cost of the planning will be supported by government funding agencies. The South Peace Economic Development Commission has already contributed $35,000.00 towards the cost of the business plan. We have applied  for additional funding from the Peace River Agriculture Development Fund (PRAD) and are currently waiting for the outcome of that application.

Both funding agencies have been instrumental in advancing this project this far, and for that we thank them both.

We encourage all of members and anyone else who may receive a benefit from this project to please take the time to read the feasibility study found in the reports tab. Anyone interested in our current RFP can contact us for further details.
